École kisêwâtisiwin School is located in southwest Mill Woods. We serve a population of approximately 500 grade seven, eight and nine students and their families. Our students have diverse needs and our multiple programming opportunities are designed to meet these.
École kisêwâtisiwin School also offers an Academic Enrichment and French Immersion Program. The Academic Enrichment Program prepares students for academic programming in High School, including Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate. The French Immersion Program offers students instruction in French for Math, Science, Social Studies and French Language Arts. Students also participate in complementary courses and Physical Education with their English-speaking peers. The program started in 2025 and is continuing to grow.
Families of students who would like to register in the Academic Enrichment Program or the French Immersion Program can pre-enrol in SchoolZone beginning February 2, 2026.

If your child is new to Edmonton Public Schools, you can register for school online. Visit the Division website to learn how to register for school.

You will need to pre-enrol on SchoolZone to tell us the school you’d like your child to attend next year. Find important dates and deadlines and learn more about pre-enrolment, which opens at 8 a.m. on February 2.

École kisêwâtisiwin is an overflow designated school for Jan Reimer School, which has a lottery process in place for 2026-27. Resident attendance area students fromJan Reimer School should enrol at that school first if they wish to be a part of the lottery process. If your child is part of the lottery process at Jan Reimer School and is not selected to attend that school, they will be able to attend École kisêwâtisiwin.
Siblings
Siblings of students who will be returning toJan Reimer School the following school year will also be able to attend École kisêwâtisiwin if they are not selected in the lottery process.

Academic achievement is our number one priority and we offer regular programming as well as the Academic Enrichment Program and a French Immersion Program. We believe in a team approach to learning that includes school staff, students, parents and partners working together. Our school also offers students many opportunities to become involved in the life of the school – through lunch hour or after school clubs, through our amazing athletic program and through our student leadership program. We realize the importance of students connecting and being part of the community. We strongly encourage all students to get involved in the life of their school.
