REGISTRATION

French Immersion programming will be offered at kisêwâtisiwin School for the 2025–26 school year. The program will start with one Grade 7 class.

As students move to the next grade, we’ll expand the program by one grade level. As long as there is sufficient demand, this process will be followed each year, meaning we’ll eventually offer the program for Grades 7–9.

Current Grade 6 students who wish to continue in French Immersion in junior high in the 2025–26 school year can pre-enrol in SchoolZone from 8 a.m. on February 3 to 4 p.m. on March 19, 2025.

Students will be accepted based on the Division’s HC.AR Student Admission and Enrolment regulation. If there is more demand than space, students will be chosen by random selection.

NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION

For the 2025-2026 school year kisêwâtisiwin School is full in planned classes in Grade 8 in the regular program. We will now only accept resident students in GRADE 8 whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have newly moved into the school's attendance area for the regular program. A resident student of Edmonton Public Schools has at least one parent or legal guardian living in Edmonton who is not Roman Catholic. Non-resident students can enrol in another Division School with space in planned classes.  If your child is new to Edmonton Public Schools, you can register for school online. Visit the Division website to learn how to register for school

CURRENT DIVISION STUDENTS PRE-ENROL

You will need to pre-enrol on SchoolZone to tell us the school you’d like your child to attend next year. Find important dates and deadlines and learn more about pre-enrolment.

If you have questions about registering for school, contact the school office.

Overflow school

  • kisêwâtisiwin is an overflow designated school for new resident students who are not selected to attend a school with a lottery process.Jan Reimer is at Level 3 on the Division’s Growth Control Model and will have a lottery process for 2025–26. This means the number of new resident students who want to enrol in a specific grade is higher than the available space in planned classes.

    • We can welcome these students without becoming too full.

    • I know the school community will make these students feel welcome.

  • More information about the Division’s lottery process is available at epsb.ca/lotteryprocess.
